NCAA Play-offs

The NCAA bowl system is broken and out-dated. For the last few years a clear NCAA champion has been hidden by complex voting systems and computer evaluations. It is too difficult to choose two teams above all others to compete for the title, because their are usually about 7 or 8 worthy of a shot at the title.
Would someone please inform me why it is so hard? We don't have to completely change everything. For all those that for some twisted reason like the voting system, it can still be used! Use the voting system we have now to pick the best 8 teams, throw them into a tournament with their respected seeds, and everyone wins!
If only it were so easy. "What about the event bowls and all of the ads and deals between producers?" this is where things get hairy, but i'll adress this later. Its time for lunch
